What to Do

Evergreen, Confier, and other surrounding mountain towns offer up great restaurants, places to visit, and incredible natural beauty. Take a look below at some of our suggestions!

Restaurants

Twin Forks Tavern

  • A personal favorite of ours, that features eclectic American cuisine that is located just off of Highway 285 in Morrison, CO. Stop in and ask for Laurie, our favorite waitress!

  • Located in downtown Evergreen in a rustic building right next to Bear Creek, Murphy’s serves up some of our favorite dishes like, grilled smoked half chicken, citrus grilled chicken pasta, and Jasper’s favorite mac n’ cheese served with Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers! Be sure to stay for desert.

    Murphy’s Mountain Grill

  • An Evergreen staple, you can’t say you’ve been to Evergreen until you’ve eaten at Cactus Jack’s! Enjoy great burgers, lively entertainment, interesting staff, and of course, very eclectic locals!

  • A family-owned restaurant since 2009, Willow Creek serves up refined cuisine just across the street from Evergreen Lake. Be sure to book in advance.

  • Another Colorado staple, Beau Jo’s Mountain Pies is a must visit for those who are not local. Instead of ordering your pizza by size (16 inch, 18 inch, etc.) you instead order your pizza by the pound! Great if you want to eat a lot; not so great if you’re on a diet. Don’t forget to drizzle honey over your crust!

  • Looking for something fresh? Well look no further than Kiki’s, a favorite of Scarlet and Sydney. Specializing in poke bowls and acai bowls. If you’re looking for something lite and fresh, this is the place to go.

  • Looking for something unexpected in terms of amazing pizza and other great food? Look no further than Snowpack! Serving up some incredibly good pizza among pine forest vistas in Conifer, CO, this is a must visit…which of course you will visit since this is where the reception is!

  • Set atop an overlook above downtown Evergreen, Lariat Lodge Brewing Company is known for, well, beer. And good food! Truly a win for all!

  • Have you ever thought to yourself, “What if I opened a bakery and then added a cocktail lounge to it?” Well, wonder no more, as that is exactly what this place is. Wonderful baked goods, pastries, breads, sandwiches, soups, salads, and more during the day, and Old Fashioned, Manhattan, and other cocktails during the evening.

  • Come learn about William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody, one of the most famous people of his time, and his Wild West show. See for yourself why he wanted to be buried on top of Lookout Mountain.

  • Come snow tube at Echo Mountain, the closest snow tubing hill to Denver, and enjoy incredible views of the Continental Divide! A covered conveyor lift (kinda like the moving walkway at the airport) will bring you to the top of the hill after every run. Enjoy our 6 lanes with quick tubes that will have you sliding through your day. Race friends in solo chutes, or link up with family for the closest thing to bobsledding!

  • Go ice skating on Evergreen Lake, or if you’re feeling lucky, try your hand at ice fishing. Or if neither of those appeal to you, take a Winter stroll around the lake and enjoy the mountain views.

  • Head further West on I-70 to Idaho Springs and visit Indian Hot Springs. There are other hot springs in Colorado, but they are several hours away. Don’t let us stop you however if you choose to visit places such as Steamboat Springs or Ouray.

  • Set within the Foothills of Morrison, Colorado, Red Rocks Amphitheater is a musical gem that millions of people have made a pilgrimage to for truly epic concerts. Make sure to review the concert offerings early and book in advance, but note, there events might not be available during February; if that’s the case, it’s still an impressive place to visit!
